Loren Ekart joins Kirby’s School of Wake
Good friend and current Pro Tour Rider (OUCH... sorry that name just fell on my foot), Kirby Liesmann has added a second coach to Kirby's School of Wake, so please help me to welcome Loren Ekart. Loren hails from Colorado, which generally just makes him AWESOME to start with, but dude shreds too. So for all you dudes and ladies out there, check out Kirby's School of Wake at Lake of the Ozarks to help take your riding to the next level. Good dudes, good times.. give them a shout if you are at the Lake of the Ozarks and are looking for some instruction.

Kirby Liesmann joins Ronix Wake
Overall good dude and wakeboardSTL friend Kirby Liesmann has left CWB Wakeboard and joined forces with Ronix Wake for the 2011 season. Kirby had this to say in an exclusive email exchange with yours truly.
January 1, 2011 was the start of a new year and a fresh outlook and last week was the next step in my life journey. After many years, I have switched board company sponsors and have joined the Ronix Wake team. I am thrilled to be representing a thriving company like Ronix as my board company sponsor. Their innovative product line will allow me to compete and coach at the peak of my ability. I will representing Ronix this summer by proving myself on the Pro Tour and having a full line of Ronix products for my students to demo. This is a huge step in my career and I can not wait to get down to Florida to start test there product to find out witch board shape and boots fit my riding style best.
We at wakeboardSTL are super pumped to see what Kirby is capable of in 2011. We are very fortunate to call him friend and we are crossing our fingers and praying for him that 2011 will be his breakout year. Congrats Buddy!!!!!
Kirby Liesmann – Pretty Fly for a White Guy
Kirby is Liesmann pretty fly for a white guy. I like how he goes so high and does the flippy things with the helicopters. He's just so smooth, how you do all that? All joking aside, Kirby is a great dude, awesome rider and has been really working hard to step us his game. Having just wrapped up, I think his third year on the PWT, he's still at it and will be back on the PWT again next year. It's good to see a good dude, getting good coverage from the Midwest. Play on Playa!! Filmed by Bobby Sutherland, another huge contributor to the Midwest wakeboard scene. Look for more of these two in the future.
It’s FLY like a G6!
wakeboardSTL friend and pro tour rider Kirby Liesmann has been working on a new trick for most of the summer and from the looks of the video it looks like it only took him about 10 minutes to learn, since he stomped it clean. wakeboardSTL and Kirby's School of Wake present Kirby Liesmann's submission for Transworld Wakeboard's Trick of the Year - Stalefish Crow Mobe. Enjoy and be sure to give Kirby a Hi-5 or leave an electronic Hi-5 by leaving a comment for holding it down for the Midwest. F%$* YEAH BRO!
It really is just that easy!!
If you find yourself at Lake of the Ozarks and you're looking to step up your game, please visit our friend Kirby Liesmann at Kirby's School of Wake. Get some lessons from one of the up and comers on the Pro Tour and yes with Kirby's positive encouragement, these tricks can be really that EASY. (YEAH RIGHT!!!!)
UPDATE – The Return of the wakeboardSTL Clinic
For those of you, who are already signed up for our upcoming clinic with Stateamind Watersports on Thursday August 12, we have a little added surprise in store for you. As you know, we went to Orlando, FL to get Chad Brown from Time on the Water to come up and provide you with first-class coaching, we are also now bringing CWB Team Rider and current Pro Wakeboard Tour competitor, Kirby Liesmann, along for the day as he is passing through on his way to final round of the King of Wake in Knoxville, TN.
Not only will you get to see Kirby ride, who is currently under the tutelage of Chad Brown, our coach for the day, you will get to meet an all around great dude and he might even tell you some stories from the tour and probably give you his autograph. See you folks in a few weeks. We still have a few spots left, so if you need more info, check it here: The Return of the wakeboardSTL Clinic

wakeboardSTL – Florida Tour Spring 2010
As you all know, we headed down to Florida at the end of April for the WWA Wake Games. Throughout the week, we grabbed some footage and this is what we have put together. I apologize for the poor quality, still trying to figure out how to format stuff properly. Thanks to Todd Watson, Kirby Liesmann, Nick Franklin, Jon Prehn, Jimmy Almeter and others that are too many to mention for the good times. Enjoy! Special cameo appearance by Keith Lidberg.
